WIDEBAND LAMBDA COMING SOON!!
After considerable investigation wideband lambda will now be a reality. The wideband lambda controller will be in built, unlike many displays on the market using a separate wideband lambda control unit.

THE TURBODISPLAY
  Product Overview

Three in one turbo display. Shows boost pressure (boost gauge) air temperature and A/F ratio. 2 BAR, 2.5 Bar and 3 BAR displays are available. Ideal for aftermarket turbo conversions. Now with water injection control. Water injection control is included free. New features are PEAK temperature and PEAK boost pressure (as shown on the boost gauge display) and over temperature, over pressure warning. (Features you do not get on a standard boost gauge!)

NEW FEATURES:
Wideband lambda will be available by 12th May 2005 (Probably sooner).

Actual AFR values will be shown. Other features will be Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) measurement and dataloging. The display will have a connector at the rear to allow a K type thermocouple to be mounted, allowing temperatures above 1000C to be measured. The display will control a BOSCH LSU4.2 wideband sensor, the same type as found in many VW vehicles.
Data logging will record sensors for 33 minutes at a rate of 4 samples per second.  In addition to logging the 4 sensors (Wideband lambda, charge temperature, EGT and boost pressure) two additional 0-5v inputs will be included. These will allow other sensors such as throttle etc. to be recorded. By using a rpm to voltage unit (under development) RPM can be recorded.
Logged data can be retrieved by using the software supplied and a serial port (for USB only computers use a USB to serial port adapter).

Estimated price will be £250 for wideband Lambda, £280 for wideband Lambda and EGT (Data logging will be included on both units). We will still sell the original displays (non wideband lambda).

The display connects to the map sensor (required for boost gauge function) and the lambda sensor (required for A/F display), an air temp sensor is included. Tune your engine by using display to ensure that it does not run too lean or at too high a pressure. Display also looks very cool at night, as it bathes the car in a blue light.

The display is designed to work with a standard one volt lambda sensor, and a 2 BAR, 2.5 BAR or 3 BAR (Depending on display) voltage output map sensor (e.g. Standard Webber type). A BAR is 14.5psi. The boost gauge will show pressure according to the sensor. A 2 Bar display, as all boost gauges will measure 1 BAR positive, 1 Bar negative pressure. These should be already in your vehicle or can be bought separately. A separate lambda sensor may be required depending on ECU input resistance - normally lambda sensor will operate both display and ECU. For wideband versions a wideband Lambda sensor will be included (bosch LSU4.2). Temp sensor requires a 14mm * 1.5 threaded hole in the air intake system. Sensor can be fixed using a M14 * 1.5mm nut.

Display will auto calibrate to atmosphere pressure if set and will display the pressure as Psi or as Bar. Its up to you if you want your boost gauge to show Psi or Bar. These modes are controlled by the jumpers at the rear of the display.

Power wires are included with ring connectors. Inline fuse included.

Display dimensions are 80mm * 120mm. Cut out required is 66mm * 110mm. Mounting depth is 40mm. Wiring the display requires the power supply connections (one negative, one positive) and the map and lambda sensor wires. A connection to the headlight wires will allow the display to dim at night.

Display is a blue background with white text. There are the actual values displayed on the top line with corresponding bar graphs on the next three lines. This allows quick, easy reading of the display. Temperature bars show every 5C increase from 20C. I.e. 30C is shown as two bars.

This display is designed to display in bright sunlight, dims at night when headlights are turned on.

Now with water injection.
Three push buttons,  MODE, UP and DOWN are used to enable control of water injection. The display has a relay control output, which will enable water injection when preset boost pressure AND air temperature is exceeded. The display will turn off water injection when the Air temperature OR boost pressure is less than the user defined values. The display features a low water level warning. Warning  can be turned off by the user, within the water injection menu. A boost gauge that controls water injection! Other water injection systems on the market require a variable pressure switch to be adjusted, now very accurate though! By having the values you can actually know the pressure the water injection is set to operate.

Map sensors are on sale, the 3 bar Webber Marelli sensor (Cosworth type) is shown below. A 3 BAR sensor will allow the boost gauge function to operate up to 2 BAR positive pressure.

We now have a bespoke pod made to ensure easy installation. There is an extra inch below the display to allow the pod to be cut. This will allow the display to fit to the contours of the dashboard. Please contact for more details.

Water injection kits are available for more information please contact for more details.
